The more households that participate, the more complete our directory will be. Pets are welcome in the photos and the church directory. Each household that is photographed will receive a free 8x10 picture and a church directory. Opportunities for purchase will also be available, but no purchases are required. By having your pictures taken in August or September, you will have plenty of time to use them as Christmas cards and/or gifts.

Q: What are the hours of photography?
A: Thursday and Friday appointments are between the hours of 2:00 and 9:00 p.m. Saturday appointments are between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: You can use the online sign up by clicking here. You can sign up on paper schedules at the church on Sundays. Or, if you're at the church on a weekday, you can ask the church staff to assist you in signing up.
Q: Will I select my photo(s) at the same time as the photo shoot?
A: Yes, you will make the selections immediately after photography.
Q: Is there any cost to participate?
A: No. In fact, the directory will be free to all participants from our congregation. You will also get a free 8x10 photo as a gift for participating. See the next question.
Q: Will I have to sit through a sales pitch?
A: Yes, you will be asked to consider making a purchase. But you do not need to buy anything. You are welcome to resist the sales pitch! It is perfectly OK to say, "No."
Q: How long will my appointment take?
A: Please plan about an hour.
Q: What color will the background be in the church directory photos?
A: Blue.
Q: Can I bring my dog(s) and/or other pets?
A: Yes, the photographer will be expecting some of us to do that and has built some extra time into the schedule to accommodate pet issues.
Q: Will I receive a reminder phone call and/or email?
A: Yes, if you provide a phone number and/or email, you will be reminded.
Q: If I need to change my appointment, how can I do that?
A: You can log back on to the LifeTouch website. Using your User ID and password, you can cancel your appointment and then make a new appointment. Or, if you signed up at the church (on the paper form), you can ask the church staff to help change your appointment.
Q: Will my phone number and/or email address be used to solicit purchases later?
A: You may be offered another, later opportunity to purchase photos. Remember, though, you are more than welcome to resist. Please feel no obligation to buy.
Q: Can my friends, relatives, and/or neighbors get their pictures taken and NOT be in the church directory?
A: Absolutely! They will receive their free 8x10 photo and will help us earn bonus points that our church can use to gain additional benefits. Please encourage others to sign up for photo appointments. To not be in the directory, they indicate "Do not publish."
Q: My family's busy schedule prohibits us from participating in either the August or September dates at FUMC. But we would like to be in the directory. Can we get our picture taken by LifeTouch somewhere else?
A: Yes, LifeTouch will be doing photography in the Salt Lake area in September. If you would like to schedule an appointment at another location, contact Brenda at [email protected] to check availability. LifeTouch will make sure your picture is included in our FUMC directory.
Q: Due to health problems or scheduling difficulties, I am not able to come to the church on either the August or September dates at FUMC. But I would like to be in the directory. Can I submit a photo taken at home or in a different kind of professional studio?
A: Yes, you may submit a photo, if you are willing to pay $10. Professional photos done by any company other than LifeTouch or Olan Mills will require a copyright permission. (So homemade photos will probably be easier!)
